EDUCATION EQUITY
Our students deserve safe, supportive, and fully funded schools. Across District 26, families are raising concerns about classroom overcrowding, student safety, and a lack of mental health resources. Incidents near schools, including off-campus altercations, show the urgent need for comprehensive support.
CALL TO ACTION
I will fight to hire more school counselors and support staff, expand after-school programs, improve safe-passage routes, and fully fund public education so every student can thrive.
WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT & ECONOMY
District 26 is filled with talent—from the service workers at National Harbor to young people preparing for their futures in Fort Washington and Accokeek. But too many residents still face barriers to stable employment. Whether you are entering the workforce, reentering after incarceration, or seeking a second chance, you deserve access to opportunity.
CALL TO ACTION
I will fight to hire more school counselors and support staff, expand after-school programs, improve safe-passage routes, and fully fund public education so every student can thrive.
ECONOMIC GROWTH
Our local economy should work for everyone—not just the top earners or out-of-town developers. District 26 is home to small business owners, homeowners, and everyday families who deserve support and stability. From Fort Washington to Camp Springs and Accokeek, residents are calling for affordable housing, infrastructure investment, and real opportunities to build wealth.
CALL TO ACTION
I will support small business grants, advocate for local hiring in major developments, and champion mixed-income housing near transit hubs to help residents grow and stay rooted in their communities.
HEALTHCARE ACCESS
Access to quality health care remains out of reach for too many residents. From lack of nearby providers to limited mental health services and transportation challenges, these issues are especially hard on seniors and working families in Fort Washington, Camp Springs, and Accokeek.
CALL TO ACTION
I will fight to expand mobile health clinics, fund community health workers, and bring more mental health services into neighborhoods so families can get care close to home.
PUBLIC SAFETY
Safety is one of the top concerns across our district. Temple Hills has some of the highest crime rates in the region. Oxon Hill, Fort Washington, and Camp Springs have all seen rising incidents of violence and property crime. Even Accokeek, typically viewed as safer, has experienced an uptick in vehicle thefts. Residents are asking for real solutions—not just increased policing.
CALL TO ACTION
I will support community-based violence prevention programs, push for improved response protocols, enhance safety around public transit, and ensure our law enforcement is trained, equipped, and accountable to the communities they serve.
